VIBRANT RANN OF KUTCH..... BHUJ and Nearby Places

there's a place called Farzi Bar.. awesome ambience.. we dropped there on way as the flight to mumbai was delayed...

it's already 3 in the night..

We had reached Mumbai at around 2 in the night and yes i can tell you there was mystic touch about the city. The city never sleeps.... Btw our next flight was at 0600hrs. My funda "Never waste time on the airport". We booked a cab and in almost three hours we covered almost whatever places we knew or we had heard about. Some pics are here to see...

I Consider this a very hard click as i had no tripod with me at that time..

the Masala Chai... must try just for the name of it.. i hope u understood :D

The Taj... nothing else to say...

Juhu Beach... i m not a SRK fan but mumbai makes u do random things...

This Place known as the white land is almost 40km in length and around 80kms from Bhuj. You can take a personal cab or the Bus service is also there if you are out on college wala trip or on tight budget, i would suggest you take a Cab.

We reached Bhuj at around 0830hrs and as usual my funda "Never rest when you are on a trip" we were feeling sleep deficit but funda's have to be always straight...

the is the route where the tanga's will be available. Believe me the route is long enough, i speak with experience..

The White Land is as vast as the naked eye can see...

Generally u r not allowed to go in ur vehicle for the last 2-3 km until and unless u r someone or somebody ( :D) . Btw jokes apart, these guys will charge you 50/- for the short trip.

The small kids were from a small school from a nearby village and for them this selfie stick was a new thing...

right infront of my room... the only species where male is more beautiful than the other sex..

Next up was Mandvi Beach, around 60km from Bhuj. You can take cabs and also Buses which are readily available. This place has personal Beach as well as normal Beach. But the Normal Beach is also good too and you find some activities like parasailing, Boating etc available which is not there at the Personal Beach.

I typically enjoy a beautiful beach destination, as I find the water and sand to be the most replenishing.

The sky broke like an egg into full sunset and the water caught fire.

Vijaya Vilas Palace which is around 5-8 km from Mandvi. It has its own private beach. This palace has been used as the set in many Hindi films and has now become a popular tourist destination. Hum Dil Dechuke Sanam was shot here..

The story of Koteshwar begins with Ravana, who won it as a boon from Lord Shiva for an outstanding display of piety, this Shiva linga of great spiritual power. But which Ravana, in his arrogant haste, accidentally dropped and it fell to earth at Koteshwar. To punish Ravana for his carelessness, the linga turned into a thousand identical ones, some versions of the story say ten thousand, some a million. Unable to distinguish the original, Ravana grabbed one and departed, leaving the original one here, around which Koteshwar Temple was built. The temple is also known as Kotilingeshwar Temple.

Next up is Koteshwar almost 150km from Bhuj... Wind mills are like everywhere...

Shree Koteshwar Mahadev Mandi, Narayan Sarovar

Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, it will be part of experience.

faith is an unusual thing, i wouldn't even dare to comment on it...

This Gurdwara have his relics like footwear and palkhi. They are worshiped by the Udasi Sect.

Next up is Lakhpat, almost 150km from Bhuj. It is believed that Guru Nanak on his way to Mecca for Haj stayed over here.

The fort rebuilt and expanded in 1801 by Fateh Muhammad is almost broken.

the sparsely populated place will give you major goals to settle down at a place like this.

A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving.

Next up was a Rann of Kutch trip on a full moon night. It is one the most over rated event on leading travelling site, we wanted to check it out. I wouln't stop somebody to go there but it was not what i had expected. the rann of kutch itself is beautiful on any given day.

“There's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free. Don't miss so many of them.”

full moon and people all around...

the moon was special that day....

End of the trip. i could have posted more pics but as it is the more the pics are the less imagination is left to do for u when u visit this beautiful place. The flight from Bhuj to Mumbai is most picturesque view from the window seat.. some pics are here for u to see....
